To All Participants of the Bands:

Greetings!

The United Women’s Organization of Naawan (UWON) in cooperation Emchester Internet Cafe will host the “MUZIKATAN 2010” SEASON II a band competition this coming May 15, 2010, 5p.m at the Naawan Plaza,Naawan,Misamis Oriental. This attraction that is now 2^nd Year will highlight the fiesta celebration of Naawan.

We have pre-selected your band as one of the potential participants to the “MUZIKATAN 2010”Season II. We will be limiting band competitors to only 15 bands. Therefore may we invite you to inform us should you be interested to join on or before May 05, 2010 until 5p.m.We need your confirmation earlier before May 8, 2010 for us to finalize and produce our promotional materials.

The criteria and mechanics of the competition are as follows:

“MUZIKATAN 2010” MECHANICS:

. Open to amateur bands only (5-6 member);

. Each participating bands shall play two (2) pieces of any music genre such as

Mellow/Jazz/Soul/Reggae/Blues/Alternative/Disco, Slow Rock

. Only the first piece shall be the basis for judging;

. The organizers shall provide for basic instruments only drums, guitar, and bass.

Other additional instruments shall be providing by the participating bands;

. Only Fifteen (15) participating band will be entered pre-selected by the

Organizers. First come first serve basis;

. Registration Fee – P 500.00 only per participant (Free Snacks for members only)

. Prizes are: 1^st – P 15,000.00 plus trophy; 2nd - P 10,000.00 plus trophy;

3^rd - P 5,000.00 plus trophy; and trophies for best Vocalist, Bassist, Guitarist,

Drummer and best key board;

MUZIKATAN 2010 CRITERIA:

. Instrumentation/Vocalization - 40%

. Mastery and Timing - 40%

. Stage Presentation - 15%

. Over-all Impact - 5%

Note: Limited only for 15 minutes for 2 songs including the tuning before the band perform.
